Emily Muttillo has been named Senior Research Fellow at The Center for Community Solutions. She will continue in her role as Director of Research and Williamson Family Fellow for Applied Research. She directs much of Community Solutions’ consulting work and leads the high-performing team focused on data analysis and demographic and socioeconomic research.
During her seven years at Community Solutions, she has spearheaded several large needs assessment and community planning projects, including for the recent Livable Cuyahoga initiative. Emily has conducted research on a variety of topics related to older adults and the health and social services safety net. She has both public and non-profit experience including working for the City of Cleveland Department of Aging and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

Emily is actively engaged in the community including service on several local nonprofit Boards and as an active member of the Healthy Neighborhoods Committee of the Cleveland Department of Health and the Partnerships and Services Committee of the Cleveland Food Bank. Muttillo received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from John Carroll University and a Master of Public Administration from the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University.
Alex came to us with deep experience in research, analysis, and program evaluation in behavioral health and community corrections, thanks to time working in the Research Department at Oriana House.
Alex Dorman has been named Research Fellow at the Center for Community Solutions. He joined The Center for Community Solutions in March 2021, beginning his time with the organization without ever meeting colleagues face-to-face due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He came to us with deep experience in research, analysis, and program evaluation in behavioral health and community corrections, thanks to time working in the Research Department at Oriana House.
While at Community Solutions, Alex has continued to build his analytical skills, becoming our go-to expert on survey design and implementation and qualitative data analysis. Originally from the Baltimore area, Alex holds two Masters Degrees, one in Criminal Justice Studies from Kent State University and one in Nonprofit Organizations from Case Western Reserve University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Welfare from Case Western Reserve University.
